Who owns my domain name?

Ariapake is a registrar and does not claim ownership over the domains registered. The owner of the domain name is the person who is listed as the registrant in our whois.

I know a domain is getting expired, how many days after expiration I can register the domain ?

After the domain expires, normally all registries have some period called "grace period", which previous owner can renew domain without paying any penalty, in OpenSRS it is 40 days. Then it goes to redemption period which is 30 days, and then it goes to "Pending Deletion" which is about 6-7 days. So roughly it takes about 76-79 and not more than 80 days for a domain to get released to domain pool.

Can I host more than one domain on a hosting plan?

Each plan is designed to host one domain however, you can use the free url forwarding feature to redirect additional domains to the one you plan on hosting.

How do I upload the files to my web space?

You can either use FTP software (example CuteFTP) or you can use Web Page Design software (example Microsoft Front Page) to upload your web pages to the web space you have purchased from us.

Where do I get my FTP login information?

Your ftp login information will be provide via email after you register a hosting package .

What should I name my main page?

Your main page should be index.htm,index.html,index.asp,default.htm,default.html or default.asp.

I have lost all of my emails in my computer, can I get a backup from them ?

No. We never take backup of email messages. As soon as you download your emails via your pop3 client, they get deleted in the server. because of high volume of changes in the messaging system, we can not and will not backup mail messages.

What is DNS?

It is the Internet-wide system for connecting domain names, like customerdomain.com, to their respective web servers. DNS translates domain names to their corresponding IP Address. Without DNS, people would have to visit their favorite web sites by typing in numbers instead of their names.

What is an A-Record?

The A-Record, also called the "address record", is the most important part of the DNS record. It is used to link your domain to its corresponding IP Address

What is an NS Record?

The NS-Record indicates the authoritative name server for that domain. If there is some question about the IP Address for a particular domain, other name servers know where to ask for a definitive answer.

What is an MX Record?

MX Records specify what servers on the Internet are responsible for handling e-mail sent to your domain. You can assign more than one server with priority rankings, so that you can still get mail if the primary server fails. Successful use of an MX Record requires cooperation with your ISP. They must properly configure the mail server to receive e-mail from your domain. If you do not have an ISP who can do this, try our e-mail forwarding service instead.

What is e-mail forwarding?

E-mail forwarding allows you to have all e-mail sent to your domain to be forwarded to a private e-mail address that you specify. For example, mail sent to anything@customerdomain.com, could be configured to go to:customermail@hotmail.com. To do this, we set up your MX Record to point to one of our mail servers, then configure the server to forward mail to your account. The cost for this is 3 US dollars per domain per year.

What is URL forwarding?

URL forwarding will automatically send visitors to a URL that you specify whenever they type your domain name in their browser. The URL (in the form http://www.otherdomain.com/directory/file.html) can be cloaked or uncloaked. A cloaked URL will not show up in the browser's location bar. Instead, your domain, www.yourdomain.com, will appear in the browser location bar. An uncloaked URL will be visible in the location bar instead of your domain. The cost for uncloaked URL forwarding is $1 per domain per year. Cloaked URL forwarding is $3 per domain per year.

How can I Register New DNS? Is there any charge?

The DNS registration is free for resellers, while there are some restrictions on the domain name used as name server.
1) The current registrar of the domain name is ARIAPAKE
2) The domain name should have 5-year extension from its Current Date.
Example: Registration Date: 2001.1.1
Expiration Date: 2003.1.1
Current Date: 2002.3.20
Then you have to renew domain for 4 years more. That is the expiration date should be extended to 2007.1.1.
